Registration Process
Follow these steps to successfully register for your CFA exam.
Create CFA Institute Account
Set up your account on the CFA Institute website. You'll need basic personal information and a valid email address.
Complete Enrollment Form
First-time candidates must enroll in the CFA Program. This includes agreeing to the Candidate Agreement and providing education/work history.
Select Exam Window & Location
Choose your preferred testing window and Prometric testing center. Popular dates and locations fill up quickly.
Pay Registration Fees
Complete payment for enrollment (first-time only) and exam registration fees. Credit card or wire transfer accepted.
Confirm Registration
You'll receive confirmation emails with your exam details. Save these and add exam dates to your calendar.
Eligibility Requirements
Make sure you meet these requirements before starting your registration.
Education
- Bachelor's degree from accredited institution
- OR in final year of bachelor's program
- International degrees must be equivalent
Work Experience
- Alternative: 4,000 hours work experience
- Full-time or part-time combined
- Any professional field accepted
Identification
- Valid international travel passport
- Name must match registration exactly
- Must be valid on exam day
Combination Pathway
